Flex - Paradox: Unlocking the Unity of Opposites in Flexibility

Flex - Paradox: Unlocking the Unity of Opposites in Flexibility

Teachers: Rebecca Hannah & Rosaria Mazzon

Join us for an immersive 18-hour training that will guide you through the intricate and often paradoxical world of flexibility. This all-levels intensive, held from October 10-12th, 2025 at YOGAESSENTIAL SSD in Milan, is designed to explore and unite seemingly opposite concepts, such as strength and softness, flexion and extension, structure and creativity, individuality and alignment.

Throughout this transformative three-day course, we will delve into the fundamental principles of flexibility through a combination of yoga, contortion, functional fitness, and contemporary dance. The training will help you unlock the flexibility of your body in a safe and individualized manner, tailored to your specific anatomy and goals. You will learn how to assess and understand different body types, empowering you to create a more informed and mindful practice.

The course will also cover common flexibility injuries, rehabilitation techniques, and how to incorporate drills and adjustments into your yoga practice. You will explore creative use of props, including partner work, as well as how to integrate these into both group and private sessions. Emphasis will be placed on the power of creative transitions, effective sequencing, and how these can be seamlessly incorporated into yoga in a way that is both fun and intelligent.

Rebecca Hannah Bio

Rebecca was introduced to yoga through physical theatre and performance. As a performer she was initially attracted to the physical side of yoga and how it could be used as a tool for creative expression. After her 200hr YTT in hatha followed by an additional 200 hours in ashtanga, she discovered a passion for creativity in different styles of movement disciplines. This interest was channelled into further trainings, including 200 hours of Yogic Arts with Duncan Wong (a fusion of martial arts, Thai massage and yoga), 50 hours Tripsichore Yoga Choreography, calisthenics, and circus arts. She has taught workshops, retreats and teacher trainings in over 20 different countries across four continents. This includes her signature training ‘The Art of Flex-ability’ which combines drills, assists, and transitions inspired by yoga, contortion, dance and Thai massage.

Rebecca’s intention as a teacher is to help students discover presence through play, teaching sequences that are fun, innovative, creative and smart. She believes in a strong focus on developing the strength to safely support flexibility, while using movement as a tool for mindfulness, communication, creativity and self-expression.

Rosaria Mazzon Bio

Rosaria´s movement journey started as a kid with ballet and modern dance till the age of 18 when due to an injury she had to change path.

Her passion for movement brought her into the fitness world where she taught over 10 years but she never stopped studying and trying new kind of trainings, like Functional Training and finally yoga which soon absorbed her completely.

She started practicing Power Yoga and completed her first Teacher Training but soon moved to Ashtanga and completed another 300hrs Teacher training in Ashtanga and Vinyasa.

For the last 3 years she has practiced Methodical Bendability and completed the Bendability and Contortion teacher training that brought a completely new perspective to her classes.

She has been teaching workshops in different parts of Italy with her approach that combines yoga and bendability,  that focus on exploring movement from a more anatomical point of view so as to develop the strength and control necessary to delve into our limits and go beyond our perceived limitations in a safe way as a means of self-expression.
